Xanadu: The Broadway MusicalBy Book by Douglas Carter Bean; Music & Lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar Directed by Steve Noll Xanadu ran for two years on Broadway in 2007. The original script, spoofing the 1980 hit cult movie, features all the songs from the movie plus some new surprises to tell the tale of a goddess sent to Earth to inspire an artist's dreams. Featuring a live band, roller skates, a disco ball and a huge cast belting out classic tunes, Xanadu promises to be 90 minutes of campy FUN! The score retains hits from the film, plus new arrangements of “I’m Alive,” “Magic,” “Suddenly,” and “Dancin’,” as well as interpolating classic ELO songs.
