Coyote MoonBy Samuel D. White Directed by David Pausch Frank hates his life: he lost his job, his pregnant girlfriend’s marrying another guy, and he's pretty sure he is going to turn into a “were-coyote” when the full moon comes up tonight. Maybe the best thing to do is lock a tow chain around his neck… but then again… maybe not. Young Frank’s mom, his former fiancée, his neighbors and friends all gather to witness (and perhaps, enjoy) his growing distress as moon-rise draws nigh. Coyote Moon: a trickster love story with a small-town tavern, Eddie Arnold, the full moon, a touch of the supernatural – and a whole lot of beer. But the things we throw away aren’t always tangible – sometimes they are the chance to change, to risk, to love. Sometimes trash is the byproduct of greed, a source of beauty, or the result of destruction. Sometimes it’s just talk. Sometimes it’s the difference between life and death. Join us as we mine ordinary trash for extraordinary stories. True to its mission, Theatre LILA is creating a collage of music, movement, and scenes from writers across the country, bringing it all to life in unexpected ways. The cast of Trash includes: Kelly Coffey, Olivia Dawson, Karl Iglesias, Mara McGhee, young performer Miranda Dove-García, and Michael Herold and Michael Huftile, who appeared in Theatre LILA’s The Suitcase Dreams last season.
